This Porsche 356 BT6 1600 S Cabriolet was first delivered on 10th February 1962 by the Porsche dealer Rittersbacher in Kaiserslautern.
The Kardex is available. The Cabriolet was ordered in silver metallic with red leather interior, exactly as it appears today.
Other optional extras were an antenna, 2 loudspeakers and the chromed luggage rack.
The first owner was a Mr. Ruhl from the district of Bad Kreuznach. In 1965 he sold the car to a friend.
Later the Porsche came to the USA where it stayed with a Morgan family from Rocklin, California, among others. We have an old title from 1980. The convertible was owned by this family for 17 years.
In 2004, the car finally came back to Europe and was completely restored.
The engine and gearbox were completely disassembled and overhauled by the Krämer company from Vogt. The work was completed around 2015.
